Stage 7: Bald Eagle #2 – Cross country

Stage 1) Bald Eagle Prologue: Super fun, some rocks and technical bits, no major climbs, lots of singletrack.  A solid mix of fast rolling road and rocky ridge top trail, an excellent introduction to what’s in store for the week.  11 miles.

Stage 2) Rothrock #1 – Remote start – Coopers Gap area.  Start at Greenwood Furnace.  Significant climbing.  Cooper’s Gap has become the “must ride” area in Rothrock, with long flowing down hills and just enough rocks to keep you on your toes. 40 miles.

Stage 3) Bald Eagle #1 - Start and finish at campground.  Flatter/rolling stage, fast. This stage will cover a lot of ground and lot of history.  Roll through historic train tunnels and Amish countryside along with some amazing views. - 45 miles.

Stage 4) XC at Raystown lake.  Remote start and finish.  Check out our video here. Raystown’s Allegrippis trail network is unlike most other terrain you’ll find in PA.  You’ll find super fast, smooth, roller coaster trails which feature great views of the lake and lots of opportunities to get airborne.  Average speed for fastest riders over 12 MPH.  Welcome to the new school of trail building: 35 miles of purpose built trail, designed to keep you on the gas and off the brakes. 35 miles.

Stage 5) Super D races at R.B. Winter State Park.  Remote start and finish.  This unique stage will feature 4-5 mass start Super D race segments.  Racers will re-group following each Super D segment and continue to the next start area.  Super D’s will begin on a dirt road or wide trail to allow racers to spread out.  It is anticipated that each segment will take 10-20 minutes to complete.  An XC bike is the best choice for this event.  A little something different for a stage race, this stage race will follow the enduro motorcycle format, with timed sections allowing for regrouping in between. 30 miles.

Stage 6) Rothrock #2: Whipple Dam to campground.  Remote start.  Bigger climbing day, featuring the best trails.  The queen Stage, this one hits the classic State College trails of Rothrock, including Tussey Mountain trail, one of the best ridge line trails in the east. 35 miles.

Stage 7) Bald Eagle #2 – XC start and finish at campground – Bald Eagle State Forest -  fast, fun singletrack in Bald Eagle State Forest. One little dose of pain to finish off the race, this day will feature bits of the prologue and a few other surprises. 25 miles.

We’ll be getting more info posted as available.
