  • Each stage except the prologue has at least one checkpoint where food and water will be available.  In most cases, these are indicated on the course directions and maps.  We will give you personal checkpoint bags to fill with you own food, parts, etc to be available at the checkpoints.
  • Pre-Riders: Print a copy of the directions and the snapshot to take along.  Ideally you’d have a Purple Lizard Map or a state forest map as well.
  • Stage 1) PDF MAP; DIRECTIONS; Bald Eagle Prologue – loop from camp: Super fun, some rocks and technical bits, no major climbs, about 60% singletrack.  A solid mix of fast rolling road and rocky trail, an excellent introduction to what’s in store for the week.

Stage 2) PDF MAP; DIRECTIONS; PHOTOS; Rothrock Cooper’s Gap – loop from camp.  Significant climbing.  Cooper’s Gap has become the “must ride” area in Rothrock, with long flowing downhills and just enough rocks to keep you on your toes.  Awesome trails.

Stage 3)  PDF MAP; DIRECTIONSPHOTOS; Bald Eagle Coburn Stage - loop from camp.  Flatter/rolling stage, fast. This stage will cover a lot of ground and lot of history.  Roll through historic train tunnels and Amish countryside along with some amazing views.

Stage 4) MAP; DIRECTIONS; SNAPSHOTPHOTOS; DRIVING DIRECTIONS; XC at Raystown lake.  Remote start and finish at Raystown Lake.  Check out our video here. Raystown’s Allegrippis trail network is unlike most other terrain you’ll find in PA.  You’ll find super fast, smooth, roller coaster trails which feature great views of the lake and lots of opportunities to get airborne.  Average speed for fastest riders over 14 MPH.  Welcome to the new school of trail building: purpose built trail, designed to keep you on the gas and off the brakes. 32 miles.

Stage 5) PDF MAPDIRECTIONSPHOTOS; DRIVING DIRECTIONS; Mini XC’s at R.B. Winter State Park.  Remote start and finish.  This unique stage will feature four mass start XC race segments.  Racers will be started in groups of 40 based on GC placement, with 1 minute increments between starting groups. Racers will re-group following each XC segment and continue to the next start area.  XC’s will begin on a dirt road or wide trail to allow racers to spread out.  It is anticipated that each segment will take 10-20 minutes to complete.  A little something different for this stage – we’ll follow the enduro motorcycle format, with timed sections allowing for regrouping in between. 30 miles.

Stage 6) PDF MAP; DIRECTIONS; PHOTOS; Rothrock Tussey Mountain; loop from camp.  Bigger climbing day, featuring the best trails.  The queen Stage, this one hits the classic State College trails of Rothrock, including Tussey Mountain trail, one of the best ridge line trails in the east.

Stage 7) PDF MAP; DIRECTIONS; Bald Eagle Little Poe – XC start and finish at campground – Bald Eagle State Forest -  fast, fun singletrack in Bald Eagle State Forest. One more dose of singletrack to finish off the race, this day will feature bits of the prologue and a few other surprises.

We’ll be getting more info posted as available.
